Postby loudnlow2 » Tue Mar 09, 2010 7:24 am

Im sending them to stephen hester at RBS is this correct for a natwest account? also do I state that its a natwest account ie RE: natwest account 1234567 or just put the account number? also as its natwest thats asking me for dosh do I address it to natwest or rbs? and do i send it to natwest or rbs this ceo crap is confusing when dealing with natwest. and one last thing when i cc a copy to the collections center is it a straight copy or do i put the collections center address at the top of the letter. any help much appreciated.

Hi Loudnlow2

I can only tell you what i did when replying to Mint( also part of RBS Group).

I sent letters to the CEO(S Hester) at RBS HQ in Edinburgh (36 St Andrews Sq.) and also the exact same letter to the person named in the cc. at the collections dept at Mint on the address they gave me on their letters. The account number i left alone (as per template) but put Mint Collections Dept on the cc.

The whole cc. thing is up for debate.

People are sending the template letters to the person that sent them letters from the bank and getting the same results.

I prefer the Belt and Braces approach of CEO and collections dept. which costs a couple of extra quid but, in the end, it's up to you.

Have fun

Al ;)

Would just like to clarify on the ceo issue, i have sent letter to tesco, witch is part of the RBS group however when I googled the ceo's tesco came up with Benny Higgins. tesco also came up with different head office address, witch is where i have sent my letter, has anyone come across this and do i need to resend the letter.

Cheers.

I'm pretty sure the ceo of rbs is stephen hester. I put stephen hester ( or current ceo ) on mine. I'm gonna do all mine to natwest again because ive got no memory of signing the second letter  . I used standard registered post last time but someone suggested guarenteed is the way to go and then print the proof of delivery from the royal mail website. its £4.95 but worth the extra couple of quid i reckon. Thanks for all of your replies. Rock On!! J.

i have only ever used recorde delivery and that has work perfect for me but it is up to you.
you do keep a copy of your letters right.
you also need your copy to be autographed as it is a copy of a lawful agreement and if not autographed it's not valid plus you can just go and look at your copy and you will know if you autographed it or not and make sure there is no mistakes on it.
