Notice of Sale of Debt

Postby skywalker » Mon Mar 08, 2010 7:37 am

Hi,

Today I received a letter from the bank notifying me that they have sold the debt to ACM GROUP LTD.

At this stage no correspondence or contact from ACM has been received. I feel this is a good thing as I can now handle this correctly from the get go.

I imagine initial contact will come via a letter. Should my initial response be to inform them as as I have not entered into a contract with them and therefore they cannot produce one, to leave me alone?

It is for a significant amount so I imagine they won't just walk away.

Thanks for any suggestions you may be able to provide

I'm assuming you have a tacit agreement in place with your bank. When the DCA contact you just start sending them the DCA template letters off this site. Send a copy of the tacit agreement you have with your bank with the 3rd DCA letter. This should stop them in their tracks. ;)

Purchased from the bank at much less than 10% value of debt.
Send the letters and stay calm - they have no teeth.

as you can see more people are replying to questions this is because they are starting to get the hang of it and seeing results. just hang in there and if your unsure ask and the good beings on here will give you the support and advice you require.
